Peace Work

Building harmony through community dialogue.

This program is the cornerstone of our peace-building efforts, directly addressing the resource-based tensions and social divisions that can arise between the 1.7 million refugees and their Ugandan host communities.

We move beyond conflict resolution to conflict prevention by fostering mutual understanding and shared purpose.

Through dialogue circles, youth peace clubs, reconciliation workshops, and community-driven problem-solving forums, we nurture empathy and rebuild trust.

Refugee Support

Vocational Bridge Training: We offer targeted vocational skills training (e.g., pottery, tailoring, beading, carpentry, and sustainable agriculture) chosen based on local market demand. Critically, refugee and host community members train side-by-side, fostering professional networks and shared opportunity.

Providing legal aid and integration programs that help refugees find stability and purpose in new communities. In line with Uganda's progressive refugee policy, this program is designed to move refugees from aid dependency to economic empowerment and full social integration. Our support is customized to leverage existing skills and promote integration within local economies.

Cultural Roots

The Shared Arts Festival: We host annual community festivals where refugee groups (e.g., from South Sudan or the DRC) and local Ugandan groups showcase their traditional music, dance, storytelling, and cuisine. These events are powerful tools for mutual learning, appreciation, and dismantling stereotypes.

This aims at preserving traditions and stories that connect generations, strengthening identity and peace. We utilize the power of culture and the arts to celebrate diversity, heal trauma, and create a strong sense of Oneness, rooted in shared human experience. This is where the "Culture" in our name shines brightest.

🕊️ Partnership in Action: The Healing Circle 🕊️

Peacebuilders in Focus: The Healing Circle

At the Love Culture Peace Foundation, we define peace not merely as a goal, but as a practice rooted in love and sustained by community. Our monthly Healing Circle is a critical initiative that unites every individual invested in our mission—refugees, host community leaders, volunteers, and organizational partners—into a true Community of Peacebuilders. By fostering a space for shared vulnerability and emotional resilience, we ensure that those working to create peace are themselves nurtured and healed. This ongoing practice of care transforms our partnerships into a robust chain of support, ensuring we are not just providing aid, but collectively realizing our deep commitment to Peace, Love, and Freedom for all people.

Predict the future by creating it together!
